Our Talented Staff
Ashley is the owner and director of Dance Alliance. She also teaches many classes at the studio. Ashley has been dancing since she could walk. She won over 50 gold, platinum, and double platinum medals in various national competitions. She attended Utah Valley University majoring in Dance Education. While at UVU Ashley performed with two dance companies: Synergy Modern Company and Mosaic Hip Hop Company. She previously danced for the Newbury Park High School Varsity Dance Team, was the dance team captain, and now continues to advance her dance technique by attending professional classes in Los Angeles. Ashley also attends dance teacher summits, networks with other studio directors and teachers, and is continually looking for ways to improve Dance Alliance. Ashley is skilled in ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, tumbling and contemporary, but mostly teaching!
Jess has been dancing for 17+ years. She was born and raised in Camarillo, CA. Jess has worked with some of the best in the industry such as Robert Roldan and Mandy Moore. She has also worked with CBS on their popular show Big Bang Theory. Jess has taught classes at all ages and all levels for many years. She has also worked as an assistant to choreographer, Elizabeth Petrin and was a coach for Newbury Park High School Dance Team. Along with teaching at Dance Alliance, Jess is currently a dance instructor for Rancho Campana High School. Jess has won several Judge's Choice awards for her choreography at regional competitions with our Dance Alliance Elite team.
Madison has been dancing since the age of 5. She is trained in various dance styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. She danced competitively for 9 years and won many awards in both regional and national dance competitions. She continued pursuing her dance career as both a member of the California Lutheran University Dance Team and their costume director.
Madison recently graduated from CLU with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies and a minor in Spanish and is currently pursuing her teaching credential at Cal State University Channel Islands.
Madison has been teaching dance for over 6 years with her most recent role as the co-director of the children’s program at another studio in Southern California where she created award winning competition pieces and solos. Madison has been invited to choreograph and perform her own pieces at local and regional dance showcases. Madison is excited to be part of the teaching staff at Dance Alliance where she can continue to share her love and passion of dance.
Ivory Reid has been a dancer of various genres for over three decades. She has taught dance and musical theater at S.P.A.C.E. (Near and Arnolds School of Performing Arts and Cultural Education), Mendocino Ballet, Carol’s Dance Studio in Northern California and Lineage Dance Company in Pasadena, California. She’s choreographed and performed in numerous shows at Mendocino College where she got her AA degree in Theater/Performing Arts, and was the first recipient of the Inspiring Dancer Award. Ivory has choreographed for Ukiah Players Theater, Mendocino College, Repose In Action, S.P.A.C.E., and Mendo Ballet in Northern California and then for Lineage Dance Company, and Co-Choreographed for Malibu Playhouse and Once Upon a Time Children’s Theater in Malibu. She also co-choreographed Riff Raffs music video for Tip Toein’ in my Jordans, and has been featured as a dancer/actor/model in Nico Vega’s I Believe music video and Manilla Luzons’s This Body music video in Los Angeles. Ivory has taking classes in LA with top choreographers like Nappy Tabs, Shane Sparks, Anthony Thomas (the choreographer for Janet Jackson), and Jilliana from Belly Dance Evolution and Belly Dance Superstars. Some musicals she choreographed are Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Evil Dead, and Young Frankenstein. She also, played Cha Cha in Grease and the Fiddler in Fiddler on the Roof. Ivory is a n00b cosplayer and is SUPER excited and proud to be a part of the Dance Alliance of Camarillo family!
Leah has been dancing with Dance Alliance since she was 3 years old. She has been with the studio from the very first year and through the transition from Twinkle Toes to Dance Alliance. Throughout her years here she has been trained in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Tumbling and Musical Theater. Leah is currently on the Elite competition team and has been for 3 previous years. She has contributed to many awards won by her group dances and solos. She has assisted for ballet and hip hop classes in her past training her to become the best possible teacher. This will be her first year teaching and she is very excited!
Shayli began dancing at the age of 9 and has trained in various styles such as jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, pointe, hip hop and tumbling. Shayli was on The Dance Company’s competitive team for 6 years. She has also been a teacher’s assistant in classes and summer camps at TDC for 4 years with children ages two to eight. In addition to her training, Shayli was chosen to join TDC’s Leadership Program which required her to set a good example for younger dancers to look up to. Shayli’s dancing continued with Rancho Campana High School, where she held Officer positions with the team all 3 years. She became one of the seven girls to form the high school’s competitive dance team which won two national titles their first year. Shayli is really looking forward to the opportunity to work with younger dancers. She found it is something she is passionate about and finds joy in watching young dancers grow.
After moving here from his hometown in France in 6th grade, Luca started having great interest in many areas of fitness, slowly leading him to start dancing. In 8th grade, he started learning the basics of pop-and-lock and b-boying in his garage. Throughout high school, Luca continued dancing, honing his skills through both high school dance classes and self-teaching. Around late junior year, he discovered a love for creating his own choreography. Along with experience in hip hop, contemporary, and jazz, Luca has a wide background of other fitness experience, such as parkour, gymnastics, rock climbing, and general fitness and fitness safety. He is incredibly excited to start teaching boys hip hop at Dance Alliance Camarillo!
Kayla started dancing at the age of five in the styles of Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. While studying Multimedia and Communication at California Lutheran University, Kayla danced on the CLU dance team where she served as Team Captain her senior year. She has since danced professionally with Evan Craft, and toured with Djoir Jordan on an Armed Forces Entertainment Tour. After pursuing a Single Subject English Credential from the California State University at Channel Islands, Kayla is now an adjunct professor Multimedia at her alma mater, CLU. Happy to marry her passions of education and dance, Kayla is thrilled to be teaching Hip Hop at Dance Alliance for a second year.
Alina Bormotova started her training at an early age of 4 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and has since fallen in love with ballet. She graduated from Kyiv Municipal Serge Lifar Dance Academy in 2011 and in 2015 got a bachelor's degree from Kyiv National I. Karpenko-Kariy University of Theatre, Cinema, and Television (bachelor of classical ballet direction). She spent 4 seasons with Russian National Ballet Theater (Moscow, Russia) and as a member of the company traveled all around the USA, Europe, and Asia where performed all classical ballet repertoire including Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Les Sylphides, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, Paquita. Since moving to the United States, she has performed with the Pacific Ballet Dance Theater (Burbank,CA) and Pasadena Dance Theater (Pasadena, CA).
In addition to performing Alina has been teaching ballet for 7 years, starting as a teacher’s assistant in the dance academy she graduated.
Alina is excited to join Dance Alliance teaching team and share her passion for dance and choreography.
When Hailey was 4 years old she began figure skating at Iceoplex Simi Valley. She dedicated six years to skating, competing, and performing in the annual Christmas ice shows. She also took about 2 years of ballet during that time at the Cuizon Ballet Center in Thousand Oaks to assist with her skating technique. Just last year she joined the Dance Alliance family working the front desk alongside Kelly and taught her first Tiny Toes class over the summer. She is thrilled to be back working part-time at the front desk and teaching a full season Tiny Toes class! Hailey loves working with children and wants to pursue a career involving children somewhere down the road!
Danielle has been dancing since the age of five. She was trained in jazz and hip-hop at Los Angeles Ballet Academy. At Los Angeles Ballet Academy she discovered her true love of hip hop and performing. Throughout middle school and high school Danielle was on club hip hop teams. In high school she studied modern and contemporary dance styles through various classes. When she attended college she became captain of the dance team after 2 years. As captain she choreographed various pieces for philanthropic events and school wide performances. Her passion for hip-hop runs through her veins! Danielle is very excited to share her love of dance with her new Dance Alliance family!
